Komal Ahmad is the founder of Copia, a for‑profit company that has prevented over 6.5 million pounds of food waste, delivered more than 5.4 million meals to those in need, and diverted 30 million pounds of CO₂ emissions.

She is a renowned public speaker, having presented at the United Nations, Cal Poly commencement, and the Aspen Institute. Komal received the Nelson Mandela Humanitarian Award and Toyota’s Mother of Invention Award for her work with Copia.

Komal advises startups on crafting impactful messaging and understanding their social impact. Previously, she worked at Google advising small businesses and agencies. She holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
