Mike is the Managing Partner at Compound, a New York-based investment firm focused on AI, robotics, energy, material science, and crypto. He was a first round investor in RunwayML, Wayve, and Prime Intellect. He previously led early stage investments in automation and deep tech at Rothenberg Ventures, after producing industry-defining research on venture trends and coining the term "Frontier Tech" at CB Insights. He started his career at Crane Partners, a multi-strategy hedge fund investing across multiple asset classes including cross-border private equity, public equities and derivatives, and venture capital. Mike graduated from NYU with an economics degree and enjoys photography, music, cocktails, and dystopian art.
