SaaS startups are the undeniable winners of the pre-seed funding race in Q1, raising nearly four times the amount as the next highest industry, hardware. Notably, energy startups sank to the bottom of the pack, raising only $45 million, which is only 4% of SaaS startups’ total amount raised.
